WA - It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Agnes Louise Davis. She passed on February 4th, after a brave two-year battle with cancer. "Louise", as she was known to many and dear ones, was born in Colby, Kansas, on August 23, 1943, to Clifford and Evelyn Shaw.
She spent her youth living the life of a farmer's daughter, surrounded by crops and critters. Thus, both permeated her life as growing and nurturing plants and animals is where her passions bloomed. Louise resided in Auburn, Washington, with her oldest daughter Angela Beasley, enabling her to grow a beautiful garden and have multiple pets.
Louise married Richard W. Davis on October 30, 1965, and relocated to Auburn to support his career. She was blessed to own a home on Lake Dolloff allowing her to continue farming: blueberries, cows, chickens, ponies, and anything that she could plant. They raised a family of four children.
Louise was a mother, businesswoman, advocate, community leader and champion. Her convictions lead her to help anyone who needed assistance. Her second career, after maintaining a household, was as a business owner. She owned and operated D&D Accounting and was known to many as a committed tax warrior.
Her business thrived and grew as she partnered with her eldest son, Robert Davis, who now carries her legacy. Her expertise with the tax code and knowledge of accounting attracted clients far and wide, and many became her lifelong friends.
She is survived by her children: Angela Beasley, Ruth Verhoff, Robert Davis and Michael Davis. As well as her two brothers, John Shaw and Frances Shaw of Kansas.
Condolences can be directed: Angela Beasley 2005 Riverview Drive NE Auburn, WA 98002.
