Alice Mildred (Kuchenbecker) Bissell passed away peacefully at home on June 2, 2022 at the age of 99. Born August 29, 1922 in Owatonna, MN, she grew up on a dairy farm then moved to Kent, WA in the 1930's. Both 1940 Kent HS graduates, she and Gordon Bissell, a WWII veteran, were married in 1946. After Gordon's college and the Korean War, they raised their 5 children, moving to Bellevue, WA in 1957. Alice was a dedicated Christian and a founding member of Bellevue Presbyterian Church, where she contributed her time and treasure for 64 years.

She was known for her faith, unconditional love, positivity and giving heart. Friendly, gregarious, funny and vital, she knew all the workers at her favorite stores & restaurants and was known to hug Bellevue police officers!

She joined her parents & siblings, husband, a son, & a granddaughter in heaven just two months shy of her 100th birthday! The last of her generation, she leaves behind a legacy of love to her large extended family, 4 children, 13 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and those who were blessed to cross her path.
