Angeles Eastey Obituary

Mom was born July 9,1927 in Managua, Nicaragua, Central America. Angela was raised in the family's general store and an Aunts custom dress shop. Schooling was from the Sisters de la Divina Pastora from Spain. In 1946 a chance opportunity took Mom to San Diego Calif. She studied English for a year, then settled on cosmetology. Also in San Diego she met a handsome sailor, Johnny. Returning to Managua in 1949, Mom opened the modern "Salon De Belleza Angeles". 1952 nuptials to Johnny in Managua and then the journey to far off Seattle. Mom did all the perms and hair colorings in the kitchen sink. She took us kids to music lessons and swimming lessons, was VP of the PTA and countless times headed up the Italian dinners. In 1978 Mom and Dad opened Honest Jack's Auto Parts. That same year they took a whirlwind anniversary trip through every country in South America. Mom's Spanish helped. In the early 80's Mom discovered Europe and student travel. It was the University of Madrid, Prado Museum, London theater, Germany, France, Italy... A stroke in 2002 slowed her down but didn't stop her. The Matriarch of an extended family tossed around the U.S. and beyond, Mom was the comfort from a more gentile time.

On Jan.22,2021 a heart's last beat and our memories took over. Mom was preceded by her husband Jack and Rene "Joe" their son. She is survived by Sally, John, Rick and Bob. Our profound thanks to the Doctors and Nurses at Swedish Hospital. In lieu of flowers her favorite charity was always St. Jude's. Thank You.

"God Bless", "love one another" and "the glass is half full".
