Barbara Eriksen died peacefully at home in Kirkland, WA. Born in Cleveland Heights, OH and raised in Eugene, OR. Barbara was one of 5 children, Holly, Carol, David, and Joyce. She graduated with an RN, and married high school classmate Steve Eriksen in 1970. Barbara supported Steve in completing his Optometry Degree. Barbara and Steve raised 2 children Jennie and Mike. The Eriksen's were one of the founding families of St. Jude's in Redmond. Barbara worked at Group Health as an RN for 15 years, but especially enjoyed her time in post partum. Barbara loved traveling, especially to Mexico and Kauai, and spending time with her 3 grandchildren: Calvin, Alex, and Nate. She will be missed by all who knew her, and remembered for her gregarious nature, generosity of spirit and her boundless curiosity about everyone she met.
A funeral mass will be held in her memory at Holy Family Catholic Church in Kirkland, Monday 3/16 at 11:00 am.
