Blaise Anthony Carney, M.D. Obituary

It is with profound sorrow that we share the unexpected passing of Blaise Carney on Sunday, November 12th. He was with his wife Tracey and their children enjoying a peaceful vacation in Grays Harbor when he passed away in his sleep. The cause of his passing is unknown, and we request privacy as the family navigates this sudden loss of a beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle, nephew, doctor, and friend.

Blaise, a Seattle native, attended Franklin High School before earning a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Washington. While in medical school at Ross University, he met Tracey, and they traveled the U.S. for rotations. They married in 2018. After completing residencies in Memphis, Blaise and Tracey returned to Beacon Hill in 2022 to raise their children near family.

As an MD in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Seattle Children's Hospital, Blaise was a compassionate practitioner and a dedicated advocate for accessible treatment and healing for those with mental illness.

Blaise's greatest loves were his wife Tracey and their children and his love for them knew no bounds. He stressed the importance of good health for a joyful and inquisitive life. Blaise had a keen intellect and will be remembered for his gracious spirit, his passion for curiosity, witty repartee, and sharp sense of humor.

We'll be holding events to honor Blaise's life. Services are to be held at St. Mary's Church, 611 20th Ave S, Seattle, WA 98144.
