Washington - Bruce was born June 9, 1946 to Tom and Jean McNamara. He died on October 15, 2025. He was the eldest of five sons and graduated from Chief Sealth High School. He worked many years in air freight and was co-owner of Great American Air Cargo. He went back to school in his forties and graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in history. He loved cars, especially his 1967 Jaguar XKE and his 1970 VW bus. He was a proud Democrat, read the New York Times, Hunter Thompson novels, listened to The Rolling Stones, he enjoyed the Coen brothers films. Bruce collected Chinese furniture, planted Japanese maples and fed us well grilling and cooking. He had a quick wit and a dry sense of humor, he was cool.
Bruce was preceded in death by his parents and brother Danny (Maureen). He is survived by his wife Sheila; children, John (Soozee), Michael, Chanel (Dave), Morgan (Nicole); grandchildren, Justin, Ella, Sophie; brothers John (Margaret) and Tom.
A celebration of life will be planned.
