Washington - Carol R. Conuel, aged 76, passed away peacefully on November 8, 2025, surrounded by her family in Kent, Washington. Born on April 29, 1949, in Seattle, Washington, Carol grew up in West Seattle and Normandy Vista.

Carol was the daughter of the late Ernest and Edna Clinton and the sister to Orlean Clinton, who predeceased her, and to her brothers, Glenn and Joe Clinton. She found her soulmate in Philip J. Conuel, with whom she was married on December 21, 1974. Together they raised two wonderful children, Brian E. Conuel and Julie M. Conuel-do Carmo Dias.

Carol's academic journey led her to Highline Community College, where she expanded her knowledge and prepared for a career dedicated to serving others. She spent many years with the Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS), managing payroll and personnel with diligence and care. Later, she transitioned to the Renton School District, where she worked as a teacher's aide.

She was an avid shopper, delighting in the thrill of finding the best bargain. Her keen eye for details was matched only by her pursuit of the perfect deal. She had a love for musical theater, where she found joy in the storytelling and melodies of the stage.

Despite her later years being marked by the challenges of coronary artery disease and complications from a long fight with Alzheimer's, Carol faced each day with courage and grace. Her strength was a source of inspiration, and her unwavering determination left a lasting impact on all who were fortunate enough to cross her path.

Carol will be deeply missed but forever remembered by her husband, Phil; her children, Brian & spouse Shauna: Julie & spouse Carlos; her Grandson Benjamin: her brothers, Glenn and Joe; and the many friends and relatives whose lives she enriched. Carol's legacy is one of warmth, generosity, and faith, and it will continue to shine brightly through the memories she leaves behind. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who loved her, and her example of compassion and resilience will never be forgotten.
