Washington - Charlotte V. Olson, a longtime Olympia resident, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 21, 2022. Born in 1926 to Ole and Ethel (Cording) Vold, Charlotte was born and raised in Dresser, WI. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in education from the University of Wisconsin-Superior.

Charlotte married Everett Olson in 1949 and the couple moved to Omaha NE. They moved to Seattle in 1955 when Everett was hired by Boeing. Charlotte was a loving and devoted wife and mother to four children. She dedicated much time and effort to ensuring that her children had many opportunities to participate in enriching activities. When her children were older, Charlotte re-entered the workforce and worked 10 years for Weyerhaeuser.

Charlotte was a woman of strong Christian faith, contributing to religious educational and music programs. She was much appreciated for her contributions as organist and pianist at Seattle-area Lutheran churches (Lakeridge, Renton, and Bethlehem) and Gloria Dei in Olympia, WA. Charlotte also shared her love of music by teaching numerous piano students. Often as she played at home, the beautiful sound of her piano could be heard down the block. An avid gardener, she never met a weed that didn't need immediate vanquishing. Charlotte truly valued and appreciated the company of family and friends. She enjoyed connecting with people through her many activities including church choir, Sons of Norway, and at The Firs. She lived her life with enthusiasm, energy, and a positive outlook.

Charlotte is survived by four children: Christine Odell, David Olson, Karen Olson, and Joy Luper Daniels; six grandchildren: Bryan, Mark, and Linea Lebehn, Heather Odell, and Melissa and Andrea Luper; and two great-grandchildren: Ellis and Otto Lebehn. She was preceded in death by Everett, her husband of 57 years.
