Seattle, WA - Christopher Stephen Eldred, a devoted family man and esteemed Seattle area professional, passed away peacefully on October 24, 2025, in Seattle, Washington. Born on August 25, 1948, in Riverside, California, Christopher's life was one of love and service to his family.

Christopher, affectionately known as "Papa" or "Bop" to his grandchildren, was a beacon of love in the lives of his family and friends. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Rosemary Kuschell, and leaves behind their three children, Christianne Eldred (Thomas Schwab) of Seattle, WA, Anelise Hotopp (Mark Hotopp) of Destin, FL, and son Joseph Eldred of Seattle, WA. Christopher's seven grandchildren, Declan, Dashiell, Clive, Cullen, Clara, Cash, and Charlotte, brought him immeasurable joy and were the recipients of his boundless love and support. He proudly attended every birth, birthday, concert, and sporting event.

A man of intellect and curiosity, Christopher pursued his passion for knowledge at the University of California at Berkeley and Riverside, where he earned both a Bachelor's and Master's of Arts in Political Science. His educational background laid the foundation for what would become a distinguished thirty-year career as a commercial real estate appraiser in Seattle. He was a Member of the Appraisal Institute (MAI). Known for his integrity and expertise, Christopher was highly respected in his field and formed lasting relationships with colleagues and clients.

Despite his distinguished career, Christopher's proudest achievement was his 47 year marriage to his wife, Rosemary Kuschell. Together they built and raised a family that Christopher lovingly and devotedly supported. He delighted in taking Rosemary on a once in a lifetime trip to Paris and to Mexico, which she loved visiting as a child.

Christopher's Catholic faith was a guiding light, providing strength and comfort particularly after his wife passed. His commitment to living out his beliefs through actions was evident to all who had the privilege of crossing paths with him.

Christopher had a profound love for music, particularly rock and roll and the blues, which spoke to the depth and soul of his character. He shared many memorable moments of music with his children.

Those who knew Christopher will remember him as a loving and thoughtful man. He approached every situation with a warm smile and a giving heart, always putting the needs of others before his own. His legacy is one of unwavering dedication to his family, his work, and his community.

As we bid farewell to Christopher Stephen Eldred, we celebrate a life lived to the fullest, marked by enduring contributions to his family. His spirit will remain a cherished memory, and his example of kindness and loyalty will live on as an inspiration to us all.

Christopher will be remembered at a funeral Mass Friday, December 19 at 10:30am at St. Thomas More Parish, 6511 176th St., Lynnwood, WA 98037, followed by a burial service at 2:00pm at Calvary Cemetery, 5041 35th Ave. NE, Seattle, WA 98105.
