1933 - 2025

Claire Lenore Phelps age 92, passed away peacefully on December 18th, 2025. Claire was born in Seattle, Washington, was a graduate of Roosevelt High School and the University of Washington, and was a long time resident of the Magnolia neighborhood in Seattle. Claire spent her life building a home filled with love, laughter and open doors. She was a devoted and loving wife and an extraordinary mother whose greatest pride was her big happy family.

She was preceded in death by her son, Kirk Morin and is survived by her children, Jerome Morin, Chris Morin, Kelly Cook, Robyn Shapley, Steve Phelps, and Jackie Pfeiffer; along with 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, all of whom were the light of her life. Professionally, Claire worked for the Seattle School District in various capacities, all specializing in care of children; she also served as the manager of the Spice Program at the Queen Anne Senior Center, and was the Queen Bee of the Ballard Red Hat Society. Claire's legacy lives on, the love she gave so freely, the family she cherished so deeply and the countless lives she touched simply by being herself.
