Curtis Lee Jones Obituary

With profound sadness and immense love, we say goodbye to Curtis Lee Jones, a loving son, brother, and father who passed away on Friday, July 5, 2024.

Curits was born to Lee and Blanche Jones in Waco, Texas on August 15, 1962. He grew up in a nurturing home alongside his two younger siblings, Lenee Jones and Charlene Little. As an "Air Force brat", Curtis had the privilege to live on military bases all over the world and experience many different cultures. He spent most of his adult working career in the food industry, where he realized his unique talent for customer service and organization.

Curtis was passionate about his vegetable garden. His garden helped him to slow down, relax and connect to nature. He spent many hours planting, tending, and harvesting his garden. His natural "green thumb" always produced beautiful, delicious foods.

He was known for his explosive, full laugh that could easily fill a room. Curtis had the generous heart of a caregiver and was always available to lend a helping hand while expecting nothing in return. As we remember Curtis, we hold on to the essence of his spirit - the loving care he gave to family members, the lives he touched and the laughter he shared with everyone who crossed his path.

Curtis is survived by his beloved father, Lee Alvin Jones; his sisters Lenee Jones and Charlene Little (Johnny Greene, Jr.); his son Isa Lee Jones; his niece Tamikia Jones, his nephews Marty Little and K'luann Greene; many cousins and cherished friends. He is also survived by Laura Wren, his former girlfriend and mother of his son and; Deana Travis, his current girlfriend.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2024 at 11:00 am at Mount Baker Baptist Church in Seattle, Washington. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Seattle's Union Gospel Mission at https://ugm.org or any organization seeking to break the cycle of homelessness.
