WA - Cynthia "Cindy" Reid (Shanlian) turned her last page on September 6, 2024. She was born on July 23, 1945, and once she started reading she always had a book in her hands. If she wasn't reading, she was out hiking or walking with her beloved husband Brian Reid.

When not on a nature excursion, she'd be seeking out new Seattle restaurants for lunch with her friends and colleagues from work at University of Washington, Group Health Cooperative and Kaiser Permanente. She will be deeply missed by those she left behind who carry memories of her quiet yet fierce passion for life, especially for her cats, cooking, gardening and nature adventures in the great outdoors.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2025, from 11-3pm, at The Mountaineers Club, 7700 Sand Point Way NE. All who knew and loved Cindy are welcome to attend.
