Washington - Daniel Edward Lees was born September 10, 1933 and passed away on October 10, 2022, surrounded by his family and with his best pal Trooper by his side. He is survived by his wife, Faire Ferrill Lees; his sister, Roberta Kingsbury, of Ontario, Oregon; and his 3 children. Dan grew up in Ontario and went on to graduate as a member of Phi Gamma Delta fraternity with a BS in Journalism from the University of Oregon. He retired from Boeing as a writer and capped off his career by becoming an accomplished book author in retirement. He was a buckaroo as a young boy, as well as a sailor aboard the USS Chourre in the Korean War. He loved playing piano, boating, fishing, coaching, antique picking, gardening, and especially baking pies. But most importantly, he loved helping anyone in need and expected nothing in return. They broke the mold when they made Dan. He will be sorely missed by all surviving family and friends.
