WA - Dave Stump passed peacefully and went home to be with his Lord on February 1, 2025 after a 7-month battle with brain cancer. Dave is survived by his wife Shirley Stump; sons David Jr. and Gary, and daughter Leslie Vanderpool; as well as siblings Jim Stump, Don Stump, Priscilla Judge, Mary Lou Elliott, Stump and Zona Wilson.

Born in Los Angeles, California, Dave grew up in Pile Bay, Alaska as the oldest of seven children in the missionary family of his parents Don and Lorene Stump. Dave taught for over 40 years in numerous districts and private schools (including his alma mater, King's Garden) across the Puget Sound area. With a smile for everyone, a constantly positive attitude on everything and an infectious laugh, Dave was an inspiring husband, father, teacher, deacon, and friend, and will be remembered for the extraordinary life he lived.
