Dean Eldon McMullen, was born February 11, 1928 to Mae and Roy McMullen in Lake City, Iowa. He grew up in Lanesboro, Graettinger, West Bend Iowa and Mankato Minnesota. He served twice in the military. In 1946 and 1947 he served as a Staff Sargent in Incheon Korea as part of the occupation effort after WWII and 1950 and 1951 as a Master Sargent with company F of the 23 Regimental Combat team of the Second Division during the Korean War. He graduated from Minnesota State University in 1953 with Honors. He married his great love, Doris Erickson, his wife for 44 years in 1951. He worked for Proctor and Gamble for 31 years and retired in 1985. Both Doris and Dean enjoyed golf and the country club life so they joined Twin Lakes Golf and Country Club in 1967. He served on that board of directors twice and chaired many committees over the years. He has said many times "I could not have found a better place to live". He is survived by his sons, Brad and Brian and grandchildren, Emerson and Christopher.
