Dianna Lorraine Williams Obituary

Shelton, Washington - Dianna was born December 7, 1945 in Seattle, Washington and passed away March 5, 2021 in Lacey, Washington.

Dianna and her husband, Don, met at Evergreen High School where they were voted best dancers of their 1964 senior class; they were still dancing together and very much in love 53 years later. Married in October, 1967, they moved to China Lake, California and later to San Diego while Don served in the Navy.

They returned to Washington in 1970 and Dianna began working at Washington Horse Breeders. She continued her career as secretary for the Tiffany Park Elementary and Black River High Schools in the Renton School District. She retired from the district in 2001 but continued to maintain strong friendships with her co-workers until her final days.

Dianna began her retirement with a trip to Europe with her mother, Lorraine. She kept busy gardening, traveling, spending time with her grandchildren and, later, her great grandchildren. When Don retired, they moved to Fawn Lake in Shelton where they relished time with their community of friends and family. For 50 summers, she and Don hosted "Fawn Lake Weekend" with as many as 100 friends and five generations of family joining them. It was quality time with loved ones she looked forward to, most.

Don and Dianna were members of the Pacific Northwest 4 Wheel Drive Association. Dianna became the association's treasurer and was an active member in their Go-4-All Jeep club. Much of the couple's free time was spent recreating with their Jeeps and spending time with their daughters, both of whom met their husbands through the sport of 4-wheeling.

Dianna was preceded in death by her father Paul, brother Stephen, and sister Veta. She is survived by her husband Don, daughters Lynette (Tim), Carmen (Jammer), mother (Lorraine), brother Mark (Lucy), brother Bryan, sister Tela (Mike), and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
