Washington - ELEANORA LEONA GORDON

After a year long battle with cancer, our beloved Ellie has passed on. Just two weeks prior to her 92nd birthday. Born in Ogema, Minnesota, the second of thirteen children. A child of the depression, work was scarce, so they moved often. Her family grew what they could, ate what was available and survived.

She was married to Robert in 1949 and celebrated 62 anniversaries. They moved to Seattle in 1965. They bought their one and only home in 1969, she lived there until her death. She loved family first, coffee, music, singing, dancing, flying, hummingbirds, gardening, baking and cooking. Holidays at her house were always special.

Ellie was preceded in death by husband, Robert, first born son Donnie, daughter Gail, son-in-law Doug, five siblings and many friends. She leaves behind children Dianna, Gary (Sharon), four grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and loved ones.

She was a mother to us all and anyone else who needed one. A very special person, our family wishes all of could have someone like her in your life. She will be missed deeply.

A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
