WA - Francisco (Frank) Joseph Ruiz, was born in Houston, Texas on January 29, 1920 to Doroteo Ruiz and Vincenta Vasquez Ruiz. He died November 3, 2025 in Poulsbo, WA, peacefully in his sleep. He spent his childhood in South Chicago, Illinois along with eight brothers and sisters. At age 16, he joined the Civilian Conservation Corp, working in Eastern Washington. During WWII, he served in the United States Coast Guard and was honorably discharged in 1946. He met and married Margaret Josephine McKay in Canada in 1948, after which they moved to Seattle, WA. Frank was employed as a machinist for the Boeing Company for 35 years and retired to Des Moines, WA. He enjoyed family camping trips and working on his many projects around the house. He is survived by his sister, Vincenta Lopez, his daughters, Fransing Daisy, Deborah Ruiz, and Cathy Ruiz, his granddaughter, Saroj Daisy, his grandsons, Chuck Dryden, Rajinder Daisy, and Cheyenne Todd and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Margaret, who died in 2014.
