Washington - Frederick Galassi, aged 82, died peacefully in hospice care on January 9th, 2024, after several years of ailing health. He is survived by his wife, Joyce, of 56 years; his three sons: Shannon, Scott, and Steven; his three daughters-in-law: Deana, Molly, and Shelly; seven grandchildren: Samson, Morgan, Ethan, Carys, Avery, Sienna, and Brooklyn; his brother, Terry; and his sister, Deborah.

Fred was a man of many interests and talents. He was an artist, avid model builder, and fly angler, and he was particularly proud of his service in the U.S. Coast Guard Reserves. He derived joy from spending time with his three dear fishing friends: Ed, Doug, and Bill. He will be greatly missed by his family and the many friends who loved him.
