George Joseph Twiss
George J. Twiss, 84, passed away in Scottsdale, AZ. Born in Brighton, MA, George earned a BA in English & Economics from Stonehill College and an MBA from Clark University. A Seattle resident since 1976 and longtime member of Seattle Rotary, George served on numerous boards and retired in 2018 after working as an executive in nonprofit and corporate industries.
George is survived by his wife of 44 years, Patricia Twiss; daughters, Amanda Twiss (Glenn MacDonald) and Martha Thorne (Edward); son, Adam Twiss; stepdaughter, Erin Lanphier; sister, Anne Twiss; and 7 grandchildren.
George was happiest on the golf course, cheering for his favorite teams, providing career mentoring, or supporting those needing his guidance. A cradle Catholic, he was a lector and member of the Men's Club.
In lieu of a memorial service, the family will privately celebrate the life of their beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother.
