Washington - Born in Knoxville, TN, Glen was the youngest son to Donald & Nellie Hudson. He attended school in Evanston, IL then moved to Seattle. After a year at Roosevelt HS, he went to Westtown Friends School in PA. Glen received a BA at Hamilton College in 1960 then went to graduate school at Cornell.
Upon graduation, Glen returned to the NW to begin his career in governmental affairs. He worked for several groups including WSMA, WA Health Care and WA Realtors. Glen lobbied tirelessly to improve the lives of Washingtonians. He helped pass important legislation: most notably the children's seat belt & motorcycle helmet requirements and established the WA St. Affordable Housing Council. Glen was an avid volunteer and loved his daily runs, competing in the National Senior Olympics.
Glen enjoyed all the NW has to offer. He was a serious Seahawk and Husky fan, cheered loudly for the Dawgs and traveled to numerous bowl games. Most of all, Glen cherished his time on Harstine Island and spent many days walking the beach with his grandkids and dogs. He will be remembered for his enthusiastic debates and spending time with his loving family.
Preceded in death by his wife of 38 years, Carol; daughter, Debbie and brother, James. Glen leaves behind his daughters Terri Smith (Leonard), Kristin Mirick (Tim); grandchildren Natalie (Wesley), Calvin, Julia and Connor; son-in-law, Tom Williams; brother, Don Hudson; and his niece and nephews.
Glen will be celebrated in a private family gathering. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Make-A-Wish Foundation.
