Olympia, Washington - Hazel Mae Christen, 99, passed away September 22, 2020, in Olympia, Washington. She was born April 10, 1921, to Joseph and Nettie Harris in Morgantown, West Virginia. She resided in Lynnwood, Washington, for 59 years.
Hazel graduated from Morgantown High School in 1939. She married Keith H. Christen on December 18, 1945 in Morgantown.
She loved ballroom dancing and traveling with her husband. She was active in the Girl Scouts and Methodist Women's Society, and was a member of Edmonds Methodist and Haller Lake Methodist.
She is survived by her husband of 74 years, Keith; daughters, Debbie Carton (Al) and Jane Miller (Jeff); five grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. Her parents and brother, Virgil Harris, predeceased her.
Heartfelt thanks go out to Hospice and Brookdale for their wonderful care of Hazel.
