Ida Magdalene (Balogh) Kemle Obituary

Ida passed away peacefully on September 24, 2025, after a 5-year battle with Alzheimer's Disease. Born in Calgary, Alberta, Canada to Mike and Ida Balogh, she spent her young life in Canada before moving to Seattle in 1958 with her beloved husband, David and 2 young daughters (Deborah Joan and Diane Ida).


Ida is preceded in death by her parents; David, her husband of 65 years; her brother Mike and his wife Anita. She is survived by daughter Deborah Joan (Debbie) and Kent Treen, their children Linda Abrahamsen (Josh Prager) and Mark Abrahamsen and daughter Diane Ida and Brian Lawson and her son Chip Wood (Tess) and step-daughter Michelle Lawson.


Supporting David's career at the Boeing company, Ida and the family moved from Seattle, WA to Huntsville, AL, Silver Spring, MD, and Houston, TX before returning to Seattle in 1972. Ida always had a beautiful and bountiful garden with flowers and vegetables for all to enjoy. In 1972, she became one of the first class of Master Gardeners in King County. She also enjoyed playing bridge and cooking wonderful meals for her family.


She will be missed by all who knew her.


A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday November 16, 1:00-4:00 pm at Enzo's Bistro, 120 NW Gilman Blvd, Issaquah, WA 98027.
