Irene Mansell Obituary

Seattle, Washington - After a long active and fulfilling life, Irene Mansell passed away March 3, 2020. She was born in Aberdeen on May 29, 1929. She graduated from Queen Ann Highschool in Seattle in 1947, and she spent her adult life in Seattle where she raised two sons and a daughter.

Irene enjoyed dancing, especially line dances. She met her husband Ernie Mansell at a high school dance. They were married in 1948.

Besides dancing, Irene enjoyed traveling. She and Ernie took many trips in their motorhome, including an extensive trip through Mexico. After Ernie passed away in 2011, she continued to travel with family members. She went to her mother's birthplace in Norway, as well as other Scandinavian countries, and Russia. The last few years, she took several domestic trips with her close friend Chuck to Hawaii, the mid-west, and the east coast.

Irene leaves a large loving family and many close friends. She is survived by her three children, eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren who have many wonderful memories of their time with her.

Now that the Covid-19 restrictions are slowly being lifted, we will be celebrating her life on her birthday in May.
