Gig Harbor, Washington - Irmgard McKinstry was born in Cologne, Germany to Anton & Gertrude Gassner and died in her Gig Harbor home. "Irmi" spent her entire working life in photography; most of it at Olympic Camera in Seattle. She raised two daughters, Inge Geri & Dorothy White. She was predeceased by her brothers Aribert "Herb" Gassner & Manfred Gassner, husband Jack McKinstry. She is survived by her grandchildren: Kristofer Clark, Max White, & Mallory Dobbs. Great-grandchildren Thomas Clark & Miley Musick. She also left behind her beloved dog, Schatzi. Irmi loved flowers and had a passion for all animals.
Memorial donations may be made in her name to Purdy Prison Pet Partnership.
