Jack was born July 9, 1947 in Tacoma, Washington to Jack Martin Segel, Sr. and Donna Myatt. He passed away October 8, 2023 in Federal Way, Washington.

He graduated from Curtis High School and spent a short time at WSU before joining the Marines in 1966. He was always very proud to have served as a Marine. After being honorably discharged from the Marines, he enrolled at the University of Washington and graduated with a BA in Business Administration in 1971.

Jack worked as an accountant for 30 years at various firms, including ITT Continental, St. Regis, Flow Drill and Pacific Concrete.

An avid sports fan, Jack was interested in all sports and a big fan of all the Washington football and baseball teams and the New England Patriots. During junior high and high school he played baseball, basketball and football. He played racquetball and golf in his later years. Golf was his favorite sport, he always watched all 4 days of the tournaments on the PGA tour enjoying the Masters the most.

Most important to Jack was his family and he loved them unconditionally. He especially enjoyed spending time with his son and grandsons. He also had great affection for his two English Springer Spaniels and considered them important members of his family.

Jack is survived by his loving wife Connie, son Corey Sousa, grandsons Hendrix and Axton Sousa, mother Donna Rapp, sister Judy Segel (Patrick Crowley), brother Chad Rapp, brother-in-law Lawrence Bolt, sister-in-law Patricia Vikesland (Steve Vikesland) and numerous nieces, grandnieces and grandnephews.

Jack will be dearly missed and remembered by many for his love, generosity, strength, humor and friendship.

A private family graveside service will be held at Haven of Rest cemetery. Memorials in Jack's name are suggested to go to the Wounded Warrior Project.
