WA - James Farloe Hamm II was born on December 4, 1954, in Soap Lake, WA, to Burwell James Hamm and Ruby Smith Hamm. Later, his father married Therese Sexton.
Jim moved to Yakima in 1959 and attended Robertson Elementary, Wilson Junior High, and Eisenhower High. After graduating, Jim attended and graduated from the University of Washington.
Jim was married to Andrea Gregores from 1979 to 1995, and they welcomed two sons, Alex and Barret Hamm. The family settled in Issaquah, where Jim was a devoted father, coaching his boys' sports teams.
Jim met Cindy Hales in 1999, and the two married on September 3, 2006. With Cindy, he embraced two bonus children, Chris and Ashley Hales, whom he loved as his own.
Jim built an accomplished and respected career in commercial real estate and eventually launched his own company, Commercial Development & Consulting. Throughout the industry, Jim was known for his deep knowledge, impeccable integrity, loyalty, and remarkable work ethic. Clients and colleagues consistently became cherished friends.
Jim's greatest joy came from people. He carried a quiet kindness and a wonderful sense of humor that made others feel at ease. Even when he was living with Alzheimer's disease, he continued to be his kind self and was surrounded by the enduring love and support of his family and lifelong friends.
Jim is preceded in death by his parents; his older brother Mark Miller and spouse Paulette Miller Garat, and his nephew Jeremy Hamm.
Jim is survived by his wife, Cindy Hales; his sons, Alex and Barret Hamm; his bonus children and their families—Chris, Kristen, and his granddaughter Corinne Hales; and Ashley and Nick Chapin, along with their soon-to-arrive daughter- Jim's future granddaughter.
