James (Jim) Toomb departed this earthly life on December 20,2023 at Wesley Lea Hill, Auburn, WA at age 93. Predeceased by his parents, James and Effie Toomb, brother John and infant sister Virginia, Jim leaves behind his loving wife Esther and children; daughter Diane (Ken) Durbin, and sons Gary (Ilona) Toomb, Jim (Pauline) Toomb, and Nathan (Pawn) Toomb as well as nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Jim grew up on McCully Mountain near the town of Lyons in central Oregon. He graduated from Oregon State University with a B.S. degree in Industrial Administration and immediately went to work for Boeing where for 36 years he led teams successfully delivering several different versions of Boeing's highly successful commercial planes. Jim had a life-long passion for reading, learning and the outdoors. He transferred this love to his children and later in life enjoyed extensive travel in the US and abroad.

Jim was a loving and well loved man.

A celebration of life will be held at Grace Community Church, Auburn, WA on Saturday, February 3rd at 12 noon.
