Washington - On the afternoon of June 27th, 2022, a beautiful light glowed for the last time. Jane Marie Kerns, suddenly and unexpectedly, passed away. Her sister, Suzette, was at her side.
Jane, or "Wrangler", as she was known to many, grew up in Seattle, WA. Born to Robert and Ricki Kerns, she was 2 months premature and barely 3 pounds. But she was a fighter from the get-go. She graduated from Nathan Hale High School and went on to earn her degree in Special Education from Central Washington University.
Jane caught the 'travel bug' early and hopped many a freighter and flights to see the globe. Most special to her was any place with wild horses or a warm sandy beach.
But more than anything, Jane held most dear her Family and loved ones. And she showed it constantly through her kindness, generosity and hugs.
Jane leaves behind; her Husband Brian Smith, father Robert Kerns (Gailee), sister Suzette Johnson (Dean), brothers Robert Kerns (Lisa) and Emmett, and a heap of Nieces and Nephews whom she considered 'her children'. Her family and expanse of friends loved her dearly. Her beautiful smile, twinkling eyes and sharp wit will be greatly missed by them all.
Goodnight sweet Wrangler. We'll meet you on the other side.
