Jesse F. Dahlquist (Duke) Obituary

Duke passed away peacefully (at the young age of 94) in Enumclaw on Friday March 24, 2023 from organ failure.

Jesse, known fondly by everyone as "Duke," was born to Edna and Winsor Dahlquist on July 28, 1928 in Bellingham, Washington. After graduating high school, he joined the navy. When his service was complete, he returned home and met the love of his life, Dorothy, at a dance in Buckley. They wed on August 23, 1952 and happily spent the next 63 years together and enjoyed their retirement wintering and golfing in Arizona before her passing in 2015.

Duke was a milk distributor for 37 years working out of Smith Brothers Farms. He was an Auburn icon and everyone who lived in the area knew Duke the milkman. Duke was loved by all who knew him and he lived a great, long and happy life right up until the end. We are so thankful that his passing was fast and peaceful.

He is survived by his sons Jim (Debbie), John (Delberta), Joe, Jeff, Tom and daughter Maryann (Jerry) Hickox, 13 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren.

He was an amazing, loving man and will be missed by everyone fortunate enough to have known him.

A memorial service will be held from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm Saturday, 4-08-2023 at Sumner Voiles, 15124 Main St E. Sumner, WA.
