A Celebration of Jo's Life will be held Saturday, Sept. 30, at 1:00 pm at Des Moines United Methodist Church, 22225 9th Ave. S., Des Moines.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations go to Wesley Homes Foundation, "Circle of Concern", 816 S. 216th St., Des Moines, WA 98198.
Jo Brown grew up in the Parkland area and attended WSU where she met her husband, Art Brown. They married in 1959, moving to Federal Way where her 3 children were born. In 1982, Art's career took the family to Mt. Vernon, then brought them to the west hill of Auburn in 1992 where she remained, until moving to Wesley Homes Des Moines in 2005.
Jo was an amazing mother to Craig Brown (Sandy), Dee Brown and Vicki Knutson (Jeff). She enjoyed watching her grandchildren grow to adulthood; David Brown(Carlee), Ryan Brown and Christian Knutson. Plus, her 3 great granddaughters. She is outlived by her children, grandchildren and brother, John Swanson. While preceded in death by her parents, husband of 51 years, Art; and older sister.
