Joel Stinson passed away on April 10, 2024 at the age of 74, surrounded by his loving family and friends.

He was born to Robert and Margaret Stinson on September 25, 1949 in Seattle, Washington. He graduated from Bishop Blanchet High School in 1967 and went on to graduate from the University of Washington.

Joel battled serious health issues for nearly his entire life, yet he persevered in spite of it and was ever-present for his family. His consistent demonstration of strength, courage, and the ability to maintain humor while facing life's many challenges made him an inspiration to others until the very end. Joel enjoyed a successful 27-year career at Nordstrom and retired in 2003 after serving as Chief Administrative Officer. He will be remembered for his formidable intelligence, honesty, and integrity.

He is survived by his wife of nearly 45 years, Beth; his five children: Joshua, Brittany (Robert), Matthew (Kelsey), Sara, and Tyler; his grandchildren: Joseph, Cora, Lily, Avery, and one on the way; his sister, Charlotte, and brothers, John and Tom, as well as numerous extended family members.

A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
