WA - Kathleen Edgell, 78, of West Seattle, passed away on October 11, 2025. Born in 1947 in Endicott, NY, to Joseph and Jeanette Klenovic, she attended Katherine Gibbs School in New York City and began her career as a secretary with the CIA in Washington, D.C.
In her twenties, she moved to Washington State, became mother to Joshua Duckworth, and later settled in West Seattle with her husband, Steven Edgell.
Kathy loved hiking, skiing, gardening, reading, and fitness classes. She and Steve shared a passion for travel across the US, Mexico, Europe, and China.
She is survived by stepson Brian Edgell; granddaughters Anna (Deon) Ybarra and Emily Edgell; sister Sally McLaughlin (Paul); brother Joseph Klenovic (JoAnn); and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by husband Steven and son Joshua. A celebration of life will be held later.
