Washington - Lawrence (Larry) Hallgrimson
September 1936 to November 2025
Larry passed away at Evergreen Hospice with family by his side from complications due to Parkinson's Disease. He was a Seattle native graduating from Garfield High School and the University of Washington where he was a lifelong Husky fan.
Following graduation he completed his CPA certification and worked in Everett where he was a partner in the accounting firm Stave Gilbertson and Hallgrimson later merging with Moss Adams.
After retirement Larry became an avid cyclist both in Seattle summers and Arizona winters. He also enjoyed fishing, boating, gardening and most of all sharing activities with his beloved grandchildren.
Larry was predeceased by his parents Milton and Esther Hallgrimson, both of whom were second generation Icelanders, making him what he proudly declared '100% Icelandic.'
He is survived by his wife of 66 years Cynthia (Cindy) and children Jon (Margie) Hallgrimson, Mark (Kerri) Hallgrimson and Kristin (Mike) Foster. Also surviving are eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. In addition he leaves behind two sisters Ann Smith of Tigard, Oregon and Jean Hardman of Lynnwood.
Family services are being planned for a later date.
