Louise P. Betzler Obituary

Washington - Louise Betzler was born in Comox, B.C. on March 26, 1934, and passed away peacefully on November 15, 2025, surrounded by family in Bellevue, WA.

Louise was proud of both her Canadian and U.S. heritage. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and piano teacher who so enjoyed the hundreds of students she taught throughout the years. She led a life centered around faith, family, friends, music, and animals. Known for her warm smile, comforting hugs and heartfelt prayers, she made everyone she met feel like the most important person in the world.

The relationship that changed her life was when she met Jim Betzler. After a brief courtship, they married on November 22, 1958 - a relationship that lasted 59 years until Jim's passing in 2017. Together, they built a loving family home in which to raise their five children.

Louise is survived by her children: Sharon Huber (Kirk), Curtis Betzler (Amy), Marlene Hochanadel (Todd), Ellen Betzler (Barb) and Ken Betzler (Shiori). She is also survived by her loving grandchildren: Mariah Huber, T.J. Hochanadel (Nicole), Max Hochanadel (Erica), Ally Bell (Mark), Sayaka Betzler, and Kazuki Betzler and her three great grandchildren: Shea Hochanadel, Miles Hochanadel and Remi Hochanadel. Louise is preceded in death by her husband Jim, parents Anthony and Elizabeth Lautsch and her nine siblings.

A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 5, 2025, at St. Louise Catholic Church, 141 156th Avenue SE, Bellevue. A reception in the parish hall will follow.
