Lowell Taylor Lees Obituary

Lowell Taylor Lees was born Oct. 17,1933 in Madison Wisconsin to parents Georgiana Taylor and Charles Lowell Lees. He died peacefully at home after a long battle with Alzheimer's on Nov. 1.


Taylor graduated from the University of Utah with a BA in Theatre and Fine Arts. He loved theatre and traveled multiple times to NYC to see Broadway shows. He was a supporter of the Seattle Rep, Intiman, and the Oregon Shakesperean Festival. He also was a great fan of the Mariner's, Seahawks, and Huskies.


He married Janet Romney on Sept. 3,1954 and they celebrated 71 wonderful years together. They had 3 children, Barbara Lees, David Lees (deceased), and Carolyn Lees Howland.


Taylor worked as a Certified Financial Planner. He loved his work and his clients and didn't retire until he was 80.


Survivors are wife Janet, daughters Barbara and Carolyn, son-in-law Roy Howland, and grandson David Howland, sister Georgiana (Cissie) Burbank as well as numerous nieces and nephews.


Burial will be at the SLC Utah cemetery. Memorial services will be held in Kirkland at a later date.
