Marcia Anne (Larson) Terry (Marci) Obituary

WA - Marci was born in Portland, Oregon January 7, 1940. She passed away peacefully in Des Moines, WA on December 10, 2025 at age 85. She was preceded in Death by her husband Duane 33 years ago. She is survived by sons Todd (Christine) and Brian; grandchildren, Madeline and Griffin; sister; Victoria (Ted), and niece; Nicole.


Marci spent her early years in Bridal Veil, OR eventually moving to the Portland area where she grew up and graduated from Jefferson High School. She was active in the theater department in production and directing. She started her career as an Operator with PNB Telephone company in Portland eventually moving into a marketing position. She was chosen to be an ambassador at the Seattle World's Fair in the PNB Pavilion. She met her future husband Duane Terry there. They married in Portland. She lived in West Seattle off and on for 55 years.


Marci was a wonderful mother and grandmother and a friend to all. She was a passionate cook and an exceptional host who touched many lives with her grace and hospitality. She was an active and enthusiastic member of the Dr. Louis H Edmonds Guild, fundraising for Children's Orthopedic hospital. She was also a lifelong member of the Telephone Pioneers of America.


Marci had a full and adventurous life filled with many friends and loved ones. She loved to travel and had many memorable trips.


Her post children roles included joining her good friend Donna at the Silver Goose (a coffee and kitchen shop in West Seattle) and working and retiring from Associated Grocers as an administrative assistant and analyst.


In lieu of flowers or gifts please send donations in Marci's name to Children's Orthopedic Hospital (Dr. Louis H Edmonds Guild) or Swedish Cancer Institute.


Marci was a beautiful soul and person who touched many lives and will be dearly missed.


Her Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, February 5, 2026 at The Cove in Normandy Park, 1500 S.W. Shorebrook Drive, Normandy Park, WA.
