Michael David Uretz (Mike) Obituary

Michael David Uretz, beloved husband, brother and uncle passed away peacefully on December 27th, at the age of 69 following a brief illness.

He loved the outdoors, particularly hockey, X-country skate skiing, and mountain biking. Born and raised in Chicago, he never lost his love for the blues, Improv comedy, a great Deli, and deep dish pizza. One of his favorite places was New Orleans, where he embraced the culture, food, and music. Mike was an avid Seahawk fan, and loved all dogs, especially English Bulldogs. He had been known to say, "I actually like dogs more than some people!"

Mike was preceded in death by his parents Isabel and Jerome Uretz, and his step-mother Lori Uretz. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Nancy Hash, Joe (Dana) Zuckerman, Howard (Mary) Zuckerman, sister Sheila (Hobreigh) Fischer, in-laws Karen and Don Torkelson, and numerous nieces and nephews.
