WA - At the age of 99, Mona Marcella Landers passed away on March 22, 2025. Mona was the wife of Deputy Chief William Landers of the Seattle Fire Department. She was preceded in death by her husband and 2 sons, Martin W Landers and Jon Marshall Landers. She is survived by 2 granddaughters, Crystal Zahorski (Aaron) and Nicole Jacobs (Jon) and 4 great grandchildren - Luke and Evalyn Burman, and Boden and Charlotte Jacobs.
Mona moved to Seattle from Krakow, WI at age 18 and went to work for the Port of Embarkation as a secretary for 5 years. She also worked for Packard Motor Car, RC King, and retired in 1979 after 17 years with the Seattle School District as the Emerson Grade School Secretary.
Mona was an active member of Lakeridge Lutheran Church beginning in 1976. She loved cooking, gardening, and could tell the most wonderful humorous stories.
