Nadezhda Gorbachenko, a loving wife, devoted mother, cherished grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on March 15, 2026, at the age of 72 as the result of a tragic car accident.

She was a woman of remarkable warmth, kindness, and quiet strength. Nadezhda built her life around her family, always placing their needs before her own. As a devoted wife to her husband, Taras Gorbachenko, she created a home filled with love, care, and unwavering support.

Nadezhda dedicated many years of her life to her work at The Seattle Times, where she was known for her strong work ethic, kindness, and the deep respect she earned from colleagues throughout the years.

She was a devoted mother to her daughters, Nelya and Liuda, and a deeply caring grandmother and great-grandmother. She gave her family not only love, but also guidance, comfort, and constant prayers. Her presence made everyone feel safe, supported, and deeply loved.

Nadezhda had a gentle soul and a generous heart. She was always ready to help others, to listen, and to offer warmth even in difficult times. Her kindness touched many lives, and her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

A memorial service will be held on April 1 at 7:00 PM at Strong Foundation Church located at 11717 SE 240th St, Kent, WA.
