Pat Miller

William Patrick Miller, born in Frederic, Wisconsin on March17,1939, grew up in a tight knit farm community and attended a one-room schoolhouse 1st through 8th grade. He earned a Bachelor's degree in Physics from the University of Wisconsin at River Falls in 1961, a Master's in Health Physics in 1964 from The University of Washington and staffed the University's Experimental Nuclear Reactor for over 31 years. Upon retiring, Pat began a 23-year career as a tax professional for H & R Block.

Baker, photographer, gardener: Pat was a dedicated father and grandfather, and a faithful member of Christ Episcopal Church, where he served for decades as head usher and on the Finance Committee and was awarded the Parish's Cross for his years of service. Pat will esp. be remembered for his legendary "Old English Dark Fruitcake"— Pat would lovingly craft several rich, brandy-soaked delicacies, sending them across the city and country to friends and family for the holidays. Known for his playful sense of humor, his gorgeous flowers as well as for his bright inquisitive nature, Pat's father taught him to play cribbage at the age of 4 and it remained something he truly loved to play at 86.

Pat is survived by his wife Judith J. Miller, his sister Christine Johnson, his brother Laverne Miller (Mary) as well as his children Will (Anna), Kate (Holly) and Sylvia and grandchildren Gus, Isabella Allene, and Cecelia. He was well loved and will be missed. Services will be held at Christ Episcopal Church in Seattle on a date to be determined. Please check the website of Christ Church for updates. Those wishing to honor Pat can make a donation to Christ Episcopal Church in his honor.
