Patricia Leslie Amundsen (nee Logan) died at her immaculately clean and adorably decorated home on the 11th of September, devastating those who loved her. Pat was reunited with her best friend and favorite person, Denise Finlay, who passed only 9 months prior. Denise and Pat are, without a doubt, giggling and gossiping up a storm somewhere. She was also predeceased by her husband, Kurt, parents George Logan and Marian Logan, as well as a long line of spoiled pets who adored her.

She is survived by her sister, Cathy, her daughter Kelly, her son-in-law Chris (her second favorite person, after Denise), and her cat Minnie.

Pat was born, raised, and spent her life in the Seattle area, often confusing outsiders by quoting from niche local references such as Almost Live or JP Patches. A huge fan of true crime and Dateline, Pat would scoff at commonly used phrase of "a smile that could light up the room". Rather, in her case, she would have been in the corner of a room - quietly judging those who annoyed her. She would later make you laugh with her witty observations.

For those that she did grow to know and trust (friends, fellow gardeners, Boeing coworkers, etc.), she would do anything for you. She would buy you kitchen gadgets that you had no idea you needed, tell you about excellent deals at Costco, help you with your garden, or even help you move to another country. She would keep extensive notes of the things you liked, and surprise you with them 10 months later for your birthday.

Her home and garden were her sanctuaries. What she left behind was so beautifully decorated, clean, and organized, that she has left her loved ones with the crushing disappointment that they'll never achieve her standard. In the short time she has been gone, her daughter has already managed to kill a variety of her plants and flowers, for which no doubt Pat is rolling her eyes somewhere. Sorry, Mom.

She was funny, she was thoughtful, and she was kind.
