WA - Peter Gerald Albee passed peacefully on October 12, 2025, at the age of 97.

Born in Vancouver, British Columbia on June 25,1928. He was the middle child of Lewis Augustus Albee and Clarice Juanita Cade, with an older sister, Dena and a younger brother Larry Wade.

He grew up in Mission, BC and was a proud graduate of Mission High School, helping to coordinate many of their high school reunions. He continued his education at California State Polytechnic College thanks to the GI bill and graduated with a degree in Industrial Engineering in 1958.

In 1947, Peter enlisted in the United States Airforce and spent most of his 6 years in the service as a radio repairman, working at bases all over the United States. Near the end of his service career he met Barbara Jean Casteel at a dance in Long Beach, CA and they were married in 1954.

After graduating from Cal Poly, Peter was recruited by Boeing, moved to Seattle and began a long career as an engineer and in management. He spent many years as a volunteer mentor with the Renton School District, and volunteered regularly with the Pacific Science Center and Museum of Flight.

Peter loved camping, boating, waterskiing, singing, and gardening! He was very involved at Lakeridge Lutheran Church, spending many years on the leadership board and singing in the choir. Later on in life he was also an active member of Seattle 1st Baptist. He organized and led a men's singing group and a gardening group at both Exeter House and Cogir Queen Anne.

Peter married the love his life, Lois, in 1983 and they had many adventures together including taking a freighter down the coast of South America and driving their motor home all across the USA. They hosted numerous garden parties and Christmas carol parties together. Their amazing hospitality and friendship will be missed by many.

Peter is survived by his children, Lora (Steve) and Brian (Cheryl); his step children, Sue (Jack), Carol, Larry (Mary), Marlee, and Gary (Betty); 13 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren!
