Philip George Gallaher Jr. Obituary

Washington - After nearly 90 years on this earth, Philip Gallaher Jr. went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus on the morning of November 2nd after he fought a brave battle with Lewy Body dementia.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 34 years Barbara, his wonderful daughters Tricia Krause (John), Amy Bogner (Eric), Kenzie Gallaher, and Jessica Gallaher, and his adored grandson Corbett Bogner.

No matter what you called him- Phil, Dad, Pappy, Dr. G - knowing him was truly an incredible gift. Some of his favorite pastimes were going to UW football games, jogging after work at Magnuson Park, taking annual motorcycle trips with the "Molar Rollers', cheering on his daughters at whatever they were doing, actively participating in his church, enjoying a puff on his pipe, and eating one of his many favorite sweets.

Phil grew up in Seattle where he went to Queen Anne High School and the University of Washington. After a little time serving in the Army, he settled down with his high school sweetheart Jeanie in Laurelhurst, where they raised their three daughters and opened his successful dentistry practice. Dr. G spent decades there treating his patients and staff like family.

He is preceded in death by his former wife Jean (1988) and their daughter Tracie Gallaher-Denkers (2022). After Jean's passing, Phil married Barbara in 1992. He was blessed with two more daughters, who they raised in Manson, WA. After Phil and Barb became empty nesters, they moved to Wenatchee.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in honor of Phil to your local Hospice.

There will be a Celebration of Phil's life sometime in the spring of 2026.
