Phyllis Fiege, 1924-2024
Longtime south Snohomish County resident Phyllis Fiege, 99, died Feb. 26, 2024, in Mount Vernon, where she had lived for nearly four years with her daughter and son-in-law.
One of the state's first public school special education teachers, she retired from the Edmonds School District in 1984 as the elementary special education program manager.
A memorial service is planned for Sept. 14, which would have been her 100th birthday. Details to come. A full obituary is available online at www.kernfuneralhome.com.
