Prisco Vacca (Pre) Obituary

Auburn, WA - Prisco Vacca died peacefully at home in his wife's arms. He was born on a farm in Calore, Italy. In 1954, he came to America at age 18 with his sister Josephine and brother Salvatore. In 1968, he returned to Italy and met Elisabetta who he fell in love with and married within two months. They were married for 54 years raising four children on their 5-acre farm in Auburn. He enjoyed growing vegetables and breeding race horses. He won many awards for horse racing and always loved to go to the track with his friends and family.

He worked at Nick Raffo Garbage for over 30 years. After he retired, he took a part time job at AA Asphalt and worked another 20 years until he was 82 years old. Prisco enjoyed working and took pride in providing for his family and helping others. Above all he genuinely cared for people and showed kindness and sincerity to everyone he met.

He is survived by his wife Elisabetta, sisters Josephine, Sofia, and Bettina and brother Salvatore; children Linda (Eric), Antonio (Renee), Stephanie, Gina (Tony), six grandchildren Elizabeth, Olivia, Prisco, Angelina, Juliet, and Mila and a large loving family. He was preceded in death by his parents Vincenzo and Amalia, his sister Gelardina, brothers Lorenzo and Antonio.

We pray that he is in Heaven at the good Lord's banquet rejoicing with family and friends. Eye has not seen, nor ear heard the things God has prepared for those who love him.

On Wednesday, September 28th there will be a Rosary at 10:30 a.m. and funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Family Church in Auburn. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Seattle Children's Hospital.
