Richard Dworkis of Bellevue, WA, 79, passed away on Friday, November 7, 2025 at a Honolulu hospital. He was born September 6, 1946 in Los Angeles, CA to Louis & Florence Dworkis. He was raised in Sacramento, CA, where he graduated from Hiram Johnson High School in 1964. He received a BS in Aeronautical Engineering from UC Davis in 1969. He earned an MS in Mechanical Engineering from RPI in 1971, and an MBA from Santa Clara University in 1978.

Rich was an engineer at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft, GE Nuclear Energy, and for many years at Boeing, where he retired in 2004 as Regional Account Manager.

He was married to Heidi Cook on August 30, 1976 in Sorrento, ME. She survives. Other survivors include daughter Maya Broadfoot & husband Richard of Portland, OR, son Zachary Dworkis & wife Kelsey of Denver, CO, son Eric Dworkis & wife Shannon of Bellevue, WA, brother Thomas Dworkis of Davis, CA, and grandchildren Beatriz, Callum, Dagny, Westlyn, Edison, Ford & Pierce. He was preceded in death by sister Roberta Dworkis.

In retirement, Rich was an avid photographer, taking sports photos of many area athletes and teams. Heidi & Rich hosted five foreign exchange students, and he volunteered as a math tutor at Bellevue College. Rich enjoyed travel, golf, pickle ball, watching the Seahawks & Mariners, and spending time with Heidi at their homes in Maine and Hawaii. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren and watching them grow and thrive.

A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 18 at the Glendale Country Club in Bellevue, WA. For those planning to attend, kindly RSVP to Maya Broadfoot at broadfoot2@mac.com.
