Normandy Park, WA - Robert "Bob" Larson, 93, of Normandy Park, WA, passed away peacefully in memory care following heart failure.
Born in Bridgeport, Kansas, in 1932 to Lee and Anna Larson, Bob was the eldest of four sons and was preceded in death by his brothers Eugene (Gene), Ronald (Ronnie), and Michael (Mike). He lived in Seattle during WWII, graduated from Salina High School in 1951, and returned to Washington as a young man, settling in Normandy Park for most of his life.
Bob proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War as a mechanic and driver. He worked over 35 years as a millwright at Bethlehem Steel, where he was known for his skill, dedication, and quiet strength.
He loved the outdoors, especially his annual fishing trips to Alaska, which he continued into his 90s. Bob was rarely seen without his red truck and remained devoted to the dogs who shared his life.
He was preceded in death by his wives, Virginia and Leona; daughter Jennifer Murphy; and son Jason Larson. He is survived by daughters Jolee Cook, Coleen Davis, and Robie Main, along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He will be honored with military burial at Tahoma National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Warriors & Quiet Waters or Old Dog Haven, reflecting Bob's lifelong love for veterans, fishing, and dogs
