WA - Robert "Bob" Strellman, 95, of Maple Valley, WA, passed away peacefully on November 1, 2025.
Born in Portland, Oregon, Bob spent his entire life in the Pacific Northwest—from the Oregon Coast to Portland and the greater Seattle area.
Bob graduated from Oregon State University, where he served as a Yell King, leading cheers in support of his beloved "Beavs".
Following graduation, Bob served honorably in the U.S. Army, forming lifelong friendships.
Bob built a distinguished 35-year career with General Electric's major appliance division. Bob delighted in showcasing the newest advancements, proudly declaring himself the first on the block with a refrigerator in-door ice and water dispenser and the "new" microwave oven.
Bob had a passion for golf and skiing that he pursued well into his 80s. In his 20s, he helped to build the family ski cabin on Mt. Hood, which became a treasured retreat for decades.
Following his retirement, Bob and Maidie (wife of 68 years), built their dream golf course home in Port Orchard, WA. Bob's love for adventure continued on the water. With Maidie as his first mate, they spent countless hours cruising and crabbing the stunning waters of Puget Sound, with many summers exploring the San Juan and Canadian Gulf Islands aboard their cherished Tollycraft.
Bob is survived by his wife, Maidie; his son, Rick; and his daughter, Raina (Brad).
