Ron Smethurst was a man who saw how beautiful life is. A man of few words, but whose words were well chosen and always hit their mark. He was a man of honor. He loved his family and friends. He loved his country. He had his priorities well placed and inspired many people. Ron died suddenly at home early March 25th 2024.
Ron was born on October 30th 1948 to Stella and Bud Smethurst. Ron graduated from Bothell High School in 1966 and joined the Marines when he was 17. He served in Vietnam in the 3rd Marine Division 1966-1968. Ron took over Bud's Tires in Bothell from his dad and later at 49 entered the Sheet Metal Apprenticeship. He excelled at this trade and was highly respected by his co-workers.
Ron is survived by his wife Debra, his sons Kelly(Anne), Casey(Lexie), and daughter Cindy. Also, his grandsons Jack, Benjamin, and Luca.
A celebration of Ron's life will be held Saturday, July 27, 2024 1:00pm-6:00pm at Nardoland - 22128 Paradise Lake Rd, Snohomish WA 98296
